Used vintage band saws
A band saw cuts curves and resaws boards, and old ones are simple machines that mostly need tires, guides and a blade. Delta's 14 in design goes back to 1934 and takes a 93 in blade, or 105 in with a riser block, while Powermatic's 143 adds a gearbox for cutting metal and Craftsman's 12 in saw turns into a sander. Band saw blades are made to length, so a missing blade is never a problem. Check that the tires aren't cracked, the blade tracks in the middle of the wheels, both wheel covers close and the table tilts and locks.
