Rockwell Manufacturing of Pittsburgh bought Delta in 1945, and for almost forty years many Delta machines wore the Rockwell name. Rockwell also bought Walker-Turner in 1956 and the Callander Foundry of Guelph, Ontario, in 1953, maker of Beaver Power Tools, which became Rockwell's Canadian arm. In 1973 Rockwell Manufacturing merged with North American Rockwell to form Rockwell International, and machines from then on carry its peace-sign logo. Rockwell sold its portable tools to Pentair in 1981 and the woodworking machinery on April 12, 1984. This page covers the machines sold under the Rockwell and Rockwell Beaver names. Delta's serial tables date the American ones. Nobody has found a way to date the Canadian Beaver machines by serial.
