Era
By the 1990s the old names were heading overseas for good. Powermatic machines turned mustard yellow in 1996 and the company went to Jet's owner in 1999, Delta moved to Jackson, Tennessee, and was sold to Black and Decker in 2004, and Emerson lost the Craftsman contract around 1998. Many of the home-shop machines from these years were imported, like Powermatic's Artisan saws and jointers. They're the newest machines here. UL has required a riving knife on new table saw designs since 2008, and most of these saws were designed before that.
